Server & Data Migration
Move everything. Lose nothing.

Planned moves from old servers, PCs and NAS boxes to the cloud or to new hardware, with downtime kept short and every file checked at the end.

Sound Familiar?

  • Our server is old and out of warranty
  • All our files are on one office PC
  • We're changing email provider
  • We need to retire a server safely

What I Do

What I Move

  • Files and shared folders
  • Email, calendars and contacts
  • User accounts and permissions
  • Data from old servers, PCs and NAS boxes

Where It Goes

  • Microsoft 365, SharePoint and OneDrive
  • Google Workspace and Google Drive
  • A new server or NAS, when keeping it on site makes sense
  • Old drives wiped securely once everything is checked

How It Works

Audit

What you have, who uses it, and what must not be lost.

Plan and Test

A written plan with a switch-over date, tested first on a sample of your data.

Move and Check

The move is scheduled to suit you, then every folder and mailbox is checked and your team is shown the new set-up.

Questions

How Long Will We Be Without Our Files?

Moves are planned to keep downtime as short as possible, usually by switching over outside working hours.

Should We Move to the Cloud at All?

Not always. For some businesses a local server or NAS still makes sense. I'll explain the trade-offs honestly.

What Happens to the Old Server?

Once everything is checked, I can wipe the drives securely and retire it, or keep it as an extra copy for a while.
